Stache Book Club
If we are to put up a book club, would you guys be interested to join? The reason why we want to create one is to cultivate in the youth a passion to read, particularly a passion to read “good” books. Art, after all, is not only confined in what we see visually. Nothing yet is set in stone, but if ever this venture will be pushing through, these are the following things that you would probably need to know:
- The club will be reading one book per month, or more if the book is particularly lengthy.
- To join, one must simply follow this Tumblr (or, if ever, a separate Tumblr for the book club) or join in the discussions.
- Books that will be discussed/read/reviewed will be up to the consensus of the club’s members.
But for now you guys’ inputs will be what Stache needs to see. Yay or Nay?

He has been forcing children to murder their parents for twenty years. He terrorizes an army of orphans to protect his sorry skin. The people of Africa live in fear of him because the world does not care. Joseph Kony is the greatest war criminal in the world alive today.
Why are we making Joseph Kony “famous”?
Invisible Children’s KONY 2012 campaign aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice. In this case, notoriety translates to public support. If people know about the crimes that Kony has been committing for 26 years, they will unite to stop him.
Secondly, we want Kony to be famous so that when he is stopped, he will be a visible, concrete example of international justice. Then other war criminals will know that their mass atrocities will not go unnoticed or unpunished.
The video is less than 30 minutes long. Someone over there can spare the time, right?
