Itching for something to officially get off from the holidays? Here’s a perfect venue for and your friends jumpstart the next season— a night out in Calle Bistro, where you’ll have fun choosing from an assortment of delectable food and enjoying good music in the background.
Young, inspired, and enterprising, the 2011 Financial Projects team of the UP Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants has organized to put up a big overnight food bazaar in Eastwood Citywalk 2 this coming November 12.
Calle Bistro is a revolutionized food sale that would bring together local and foreign cuisines in the metro catering to young professionals and food enthusiasts to unwind, socialize and explore the rich oriental and western flavors. Exciting and out of the ordinary food await the attendees—crunchy, dumpling wrapped tacos curiously served in egg cartons by Taclings, barbecued chunks of meat alternating with corncob, whole tomatoes, and cucumber slices by Giga Bites Kebab, and authentic Ilocos snacks by Glomy’s Empanada, to name a few. There’s also savory beef wrapped in pita bread by Naomi’s Shwarma, cheesecakes in cups by Cupples Comfort Food, and Wrap Battle’s delightful chicken pesto, mango salad, pork adobo, and paella wraps.
This project aims to assist budding food retail brands and enterprises in promoting their products and to provide a one of a kind food socialization experience where people from different walks of life can get a slice of the world right on their plates. This is a night of food adventure made more special as live bands serenade the visitors as they indulge in Calle Bistro. Games and raffle draws would also make it a night of fun and excitement for everyone.
Proceeds of our project will benefit the UP JPIA Long-term Educational Assistance Program (LEAP)scholarship fund and will provide financial support for our other socio-civic activities.
While savoring the different food dishes featured in this metro food fair, visitors would be electrified by the live bands performing rock and pop music. Visitors could free up their spirits in this music-filled event and delight themselves with complimentary drinks. Other activities that could fire up the excitement include drinking contests, food-related games and raffle draws of sponsor items and giveaways. Visitors may also avail of freebies and sample products of event sponsors.
Updates are posted on the event’s facebook page and website.
